1. Basic parameter selection
(1) Diameter (DN):
Determine the diameter (DN) size of the solenoid valve according to the inner diameter size of the on-site pipeline or the flow requirement.
Interface selection: Generally, when DN is greater than 50, select a flange interface; when DN is less than or equal to 50, you can freely choose according to user needs, such as flange solenoid valve, threaded solenoid valve or welded solenoid valve.
(2) Medium characteristics:
Consider the characteristics of irrigation water, such as whether it contains corrosive substances, water hardness, etc.
For corrosive fluids, corrosion-resistant solenoid valves and all-stainless steel solenoid valves should be selected.
(3) Pressure:
Determine the nominal pressure of the solenoid valve according to the nominal pressure of the pipeline.
Select the appropriate solenoid valve working pressure level according to the actual needs of the irrigation system.
(4) Temperature:
Select a suitable solenoid valve according to the temperature range of the irrigation environment.
For example, select a solenoid valve that can work normally in different temperature ranges such as -196℃~+40℃, -40℃~+100℃, +100℃~+600℃.
(5) Voltage:
Choose the appropriate solenoid valve voltage specification according to the power supply conditions of the irrigation system.
Common voltage specifications include AC12V, AC24V, AC110V, AC220V, DC6V, DC12V, DC24V, etc.
II. Functional requirements selection
(1) Control mode:
Choose different types of solenoid valves such as normally closed, normally open, time-sharing, hydraulic or pneumatic control according to the control requirements of the irrigation system.
The normally closed solenoid valve is closed when the power is on and opened when the power is off. It is commonly used in drainage systems and water pump control.
The normally open solenoid valve is opened when the power is on and closed when the power is off. It is commonly used for water level control in pools and water tanks.
The time-sharing solenoid valve controls the opening and closing of the water flow according to the set time period. It is suitable for farmland irrigation and urban greening.
The hydraulic and pneumatic control solenoid valves use hydraulic principles and compressed air to control the opening and closing of the valve respectively.
(2) Special functions:
According to the special needs of the irrigation system, select solenoid valves with corresponding functions, such as explosion-proof, waterproof and fog-proof, water spray, submersible, etc.
